“It’s crazy, I was putting some finishing touches on my mural today and I was remembering how hard this art journey has been up to this point. People used to try to clown me when I was a youngin’ because drawing wasn’t as ‘cool’ back then…I’ve had teachers laugh in my face when I told them my dreams of being an artist.
Even some family didn’t think it was realistic for me to pursue my passion, and today I get to look up at a 60 sq ft piece of my artwork 5 blocks from where I grew up and know that I made the right choice to give everything up and follow my calling.
